CARLISLE KOESTLER

Founder & Director of Pitching Development

  • Koestler’s career is a testament to perseverance and adaptability, traits he now uses to guide the next generation of pitchers. After being redshirted as an infielder in his first season at Hinds Community College, he transitioned to pitching and quickly excelled, earning multiple Division I scholarship offers. He spent three seasons as a reliable starter at Southeastern Louisiana University before an injury cut short his senior year. Granted an extra year of eligibility, he transferred to Mississippi State as a graduate student. Despite the cancellation of the 2020 season, he returned in 2021 as the oldest player in the SEC at 25 years old, helping lead Mississippi State to a College World Series National Championship. Following his playing career, Koestler served as Director of Player Development and Baseball Operations at Samford University before returning to Hinds Community College as Pitching Coach and Director of Strength and Conditioning. He was then hired by the Texas Rangers as a Minor League Pitching Coach and now serves as the organization’s Supervisor of Dominican Republic Pitching Development.
